Fetch (flashback version) from InFAMOUS First Light
Debuted: PAX South 2015
Awards: N/A
Abigail "Fetch" Walker is a badass conduit (a human with powers) from the game InFAMOUS Second Son. She controls Neon as her power and tends to "shoot first, question later". She's had a rough life, as the minute her powers made themselves known her parents became afraid of her and called to have her taken away. Her brother Brent (who never had powers), grabbed her and their coats and they ran. They ended up crossing the country from New Jersey to Seattle, Washington. During their running away, Brent introduced Fetch to drugs and she was quickly hooked. It was a downhill slide from there, but she is a recovering junkie as of now.
How I Made It
I looked through a lot of photo mode screenshots for this one! Like the jacket in Second Son, I knew this jacket was a huge focus point for Fetch's design. I bought the socks, silver nose ring, bandana, bomber jacket, black and gray tank tops, shorts, and belt off of Amazon. The wig is recycled from my Second Son outfit, and the boots and accessories I already owned. The black tank top is shared with my Curdun Cay version of Fetch as well. I added the yellow stripes on the gray tank top using a mix of acrylic and fabric paint, then I sliced holes into the shirt using small sewing sheers. I painted purple-pink patches onto her shorts. I'm actually wearing two belts to get the look of the separate one that hangs down her backside.
The jacket is my favorite part of this version--it has 15 patches that I hand-drew and hand-sewed into place. I hand-painted the silent skull design on the back of the jacket, as well as the stars. I sewed leather strips with studs on them for the back of the jacket, and painted the muted fuchsia designs by hand, as well as the black circle design found on the right front side. I added the shoulder studs and leather straps by hand (lots of hand-sewing through leather), and then added the button flap over the zipper complete with snap buttons that I inserted into place by hand. I made the hood from scratch and attached it to the inside collar with hidden buttons.
This version is so much fun to wear! The colors and details really play into what I like best about costume design, plus they help set Fetch's character apart from other characters out there. This version is the most popular one from InFAMOUS First Light and I'm happy to have added it to my line up.
