Snow White and the other Disney Princesses have been reimagined so many times and in so many different ways. When a group of friends decided to make Pokemon Trainer versions based on fan art that was popping up online, I couldn't resist making Snow White! I agree that Snow White would for sure have a lot of forest friendly pokemon in her collection.

 How I Made It

The skirt was handmade from extra sparkle satin casa that I had from my original Snow White cosplay (see more here). I made a simple pencil skirt for the first time and LOVED how it turned out! I then added pockets that close with Velcro and sewed gold pokemon symbols on them. The shirt is actually three store bought shirts that I "Frankensteined" together. I cut the white collar off one, and the sleeves off another and sewed them to the darker blue shirt. I added a yellow zipper for the shirt and also added gold trim to the sleeves and matching pokemon symbols on the sleeves in red. I sewed the cape from dark blue and red crushed velvet and it attaches to the shirt with a few hidden snaps. I made and sewed red bow to my gold shoes as well. The pokeball is made of smooth Styrofoam, painted half red with a black line from sharpie around it for the closure and button. The wig was used from my original Snow White and I bought the red bow from eBay.

This costume is comfortable and fun to wear. A lot of people love to see the Disney Princesses in any form and a few even made the connection to pokemon trainer as well. I was excited to meet up with a small group of other pokemon trainer Disney characters at Dragon Con 2013 as well! All photos below are from Dragon Con.
