-{ Rain }-

This rain, it falls in splashes.
Drops so large they soak one complete.
I stand as though pretending
That I will not get wet.

This rain, it drops around me.
It drips, it falls, it traces
Every little outline
From my earlier tears.

And though I try to hide it--
This entirely soaked exterior--
It suddenly seems never-ending
For inside I never dry complete.

This rain, it falls in splashes.
Puddles left both small and large.
And I am left as dripping
A soaking heart alone.
