-{ Ode To The Toilet }-

Glorious porcelain God
So many colors and textures
To match beautifully with any bathroom
And any sort of rug or case
We place at your feet or over your cover

Your wonderfully hinged seat and cover
Despising those men
Who do not place your seat down
And those people who
Slam your cover down, causing me to jump

And the gentle curve of metal
(Or years ago, curve of chain)
That with a single push (or pull)
Sends in the joyous waters
To disperse what lays inside
Towards sewage water Heaven

And your soft curved body
Always cool to the touch
Making sitting there a pleasure
To whomever comes to visit

So this poem is for you
My dear, sweet, toilet
Another time later today
May we share our moments together
